Northern Hills Invitational in Belle Fourche held Tuesday

BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. – Athletes from the area competed in the Northern Hills Invitational in Belle Fourche Tuesday.

Among the winners on the boys side were Jessup Pederson of Dupree who won the 400 meters.

Sawyer Clarkson of Belle Fourche captured the 1,600 meters and Peyton Cast of Douglas won the 3,200 meters. Newell’s Garrett Winkler came in second.

Warren Russel of Hot Springs won the 300 meter hurdles.

Belle Fourche won the 4 x 200 meter relay and Lead-Deadwood captured the medley.

Hulett’s Bryce Ackerman won the discus and Andrew Divis of Douglas won the high jump. Rapid City Christian’s Chase Maher won the pole vault and Aiden Giffin of Belle Fourche won the long jump.

In girls results, Dru Keegan of Belle Fourche won the 100 meters and Hallie Person of Lead-Deadwood won the 1,600 meters. Kira Ubence of Douglas won the 3,200 meters.

Jaylen Nachtigall of Hot Springs captured the 100 meter hurdles.

In relay races, Belle Fourche won the 4 x 100, Lead-Deadwood won the 4 x 200 meters, Hot Springs won the 4 x 400, and Lead-Deadwood won the medley relay.

Bailey Hofland of Sundance won the discus, Savannah Gray of Douglas won the high jump, Jayna Prince of Lead – Deadwood won the pole vault, Jaylen Nachtigall won the long jump and Mataya Ward of Belle Fourche captured the triple jump.
