RAPID CITY, SD – It’s not every bronc that has a drink named after him…..let alone a master beer. The beer, created by Lost Cabin Beer Company., in Rapid City, SD is steeped in tradition – from a monastery in Germany. And the naming of such a brew is a story too. History has it that a dopplebock lauger name has to have an ‘ATOR’ at the end of it.
So when the brew masters at Lost Cabin Beer considered replicating the ancient brew , they knew they had the name to go with it…..”CHUCKULATOR” ….. the sassy, colorful, award-winning bronc born and raised by Sutton Rodeos.
They describe the taste as, “really malty, nice caramel and barley blend, higher in alcohol but it’s a lauger so its smooth and easy-drinking.”
No one loves the Sutton horses like Kim Sutton, married to Steve. While she does a lot of the work of running an 80+ year rodeo production company behind the scenes, there’s one topic that really shows her love for livestock, rodeo and her family.
Here, she describes how the world-class bronc “CHUCKULATOR” got his name and what makes him such a stand-out horse.

The horse would go on to win every top-ranked award to be had in the rodeo arena. He’s now living his ‘best life’ on the vast ranges of central South Dakota, siring more Sutton Rodeo stand-outs.
And living up to the great taste of the beer named after him…Lost Cabin Beer Co.’s “Chuckulator!”
