RAPID CITY, S.D. – Police in Rapid City say one man is dead after a shooting happened inside Teddy’s early Sunday morning.
In a Facebook Post on the Rapid City Police page, Lieutenant Kevin Masur said officers were called to the establishment on Main St. around 1:00 a.m.
Masur stated “when they arrived, officers found themselves in a very chaotic situation” and they found a young man who had been shot.
Masur says the man was taken to the hospital, where he “succumbed to his injuries.”
“Right now we are working through interviewing many different people who witnessed the event. If you witnessed the event and saw what took place, please call 394-4131 so we can get the information you have to share.”
Masur stated they believe the only person injured in the incident was the man who died, but the investigation was still very early.
He said no one has been arrested as police investigate leads that have emerged.
