STURGIS, S.D. – South Dakota recorded 56 new cases of COVID-19 Friday with another death reported out of Pennington County.
Pennington County now has 14 total COVID-19 related deaths.
It’s active cases is down today to 135 from Thursday’s 141. There were 4 new cases reported in today’s update.
Meade County had 2 new cases Friday, with 9 active and a cumulative total of 46. Lawrence County reported one new case, sending that county’s cumulative total to 18 with 4 active cases.
Oglala Lakota County had 3 new cases and Fall River County had one new case.
The statewide number of active cases is down five today to 795. There are 79 people currently hospitalized – the same as yesterday.
The state’s death toll is now 88.
