Open invitation to SD Quarter Horse Association annual awards banquet, tickets available

PIERRE, S.D. – If you’re a horse enthusiast or a professional competitor or any level in between, the annual South Dakota Quarter Horse Association (SDQHA) Awards Banquet is the place to be.

Set for Friday, Jan. 13 and Saturday, Jan. 14, the two-day event begins with a social sponsored by the SDQHA beginning at 7:00p.m. (CST) at the Casey Tibbs Center in Ft. Pierre, S.D.

Organizers says it’s a perfect opportunity to meet and greet the honorees, find out how they got started with horses, the history of their breeding program and ranch, all while enjoying an evening with others involved in horses. Membership in SDQHA is not required to attend the banquet and awards program. All are welcome, say organizers.

The following day at the Ramkota Hotel in Pierre, the day begins  with a director’s meeting at 8:00a.m. followed by the association’s youth organization meeting at 11:30a.m. After the general membership meeting at 2:00p.m., the annual banquet and awards program will get underway at 6:00p.m.

A Cowboy Church wraps up the two-day event on Sun., January 15 at the Ramkota beginning at 9:30a.m. (CST).
