Patricia Ann (Marrs) Reed, 80, passed away on June 2, 2023, at Fiesta Rehab in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born August 25, 1942. She attended school in Sturgis, south of Deadwood, and moved to Newell in 1950. She graduated from Newell High School in 1960 and went to California the day after graduation. She married Walt Thomas and they lived in California until moving to Klamath Falls, Oregon, to be closer to her sister Margaret. Later Pat moved to Rapid City and Germany before settling in Tennessee for 22 years. She moved to New Mexico last summer.
Patty always had a crochet hook handy and made many granny-square afghans. She did genealogy research on her family tree as well as for others.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Victor Marrs and Mildred (Baird) Marrs Salmo Janes,  siblings Charles Marrs and Margaret Marrs Corder, a son-in-law and two grandchildren. Surviving are her son Duane Lujan, New Mexico, daughter Denise Oster, Germany, sister Aileen Brunner, Pierre, five grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. No services are planned at this time.
