In Loving Memory of Patricia Louise Niesent

Patricia Louise Niesent, age 95, peacefully departed this life on April 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 25, 1928, to Leslie and Geraldine Heinbaugh in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, where she spent her early years growing up on a farm alongside her five brothers. Patricia attended Belle Fourche High School, graduating in 1945, marking the beginning of a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Following her graduation, Patricia embarked on a career as a telephone operator in Deadwood, where she demonstrated her natural warmth and dedication to helping others. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, Reinhold Niesent, whom she married on April 20, 1947. Together, they built a beautiful life and were blessed with seven children.

In her leisure time, Patricia found joy in simple pleasures such as fishing, solving crossword puzzles, and taking scenic drives up to Deadwood. Known for her curiosity and love for new gadgets, she never ceased to be amazed by the wonders of technology.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Geraldine Heinbaugh, her brothers Laverne, Don, Bob, and Dave, her beloved husband of 56 years, Reinhold, her son-in-law Raymond, her grandson Robert Niesent and her great-great grandson Daniel Holt. Though she has left this world, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her brother Jerry (Geri) Heinbaugh, her seven children: Sandi Hem of Belle Fourche, Linda (Lynn) Foster of Montgomery, Texas, Ronald (Debra) Niesent of Spearfish, South Dakota, Randy (Gloria) Niesent of Spearfish, South Dakota, Sally (Melvin) Hill of Big Timber, Montana, Melody (Doug) Sankey of Spearfish, South Dakota, and Richard (Patty) Niesent of Belle Fourche, South Dakota. Patricia is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, each a testament to the love and legacy she leaves behind.

Services will be at 10:30 am on Friday, May 3, 2024 at United Methodist Church in Spearfish, SD.   Patricia will be laid to rest at Black Hills Cemetery, where she will be reunited with her beloved husband, Reinhold. As we honor her memory, let us find solace in knowing that she has found eternal peace, surrounded by the love of those who went before her.
