STURGIS, SD – The Douglas Patriot Volleyball team dropped set one to the Sturgis Scoopers, 25–22, then roared back to win the next three sets, 25–8, 25–13 and 25–6 to take the match, three sets to one.
Douglas was led by Kaylee Lancial, who executed 11 kills and delivered one ace. Senior setter Rayna Johnson added 13 assists and one kill. The Patriots improved to 8-8 on the season.
Sophomore setter Tori Williams had 10 assists and four kills for the Scoopers, who dropped to 4-15 on the year. Avreigh Long had three kills one assist and one ace for Sturgis, who is in action next on next Thursday as they travel to Spearfish to take on the Spartans.
