RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office says Jessica Story, missing since June 18, 2021, was found deceased Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
The body of the 33 year old Rapid City woman was found in a wooded area off White Buffalo Road. Family had been searching the area and alerted law enforcement to an area of interest. Once law enforcement arrived, they located Jessica’s remains.
An autopsy was completed Thursday, August 12, 2021.
In a release, the Sheriff’s Office says they are awaiting toxicology results before determining a cause and manner of death.
No trauma to the body was detected.
