RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that took place in Rapid Valley early this morning.
According to authorities, three masked males entered the Corner Pantry just before 5:00 a.m. Tuesday. One suspect was holding a rifle. They ordered the clerk to open the cash drawer and took an undisclosed amount of cash along with cigarettes and cigars. No one was physically injured during the robbery. The individuals fled to a potentially light blue four-door passenger sedan similar to a Toyota Camry.
One male is described as wearing a black leather coat with black pants. A second male was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The third was in a black sweatshirt and black jeans. They were last seen running north-west away from the gas station.
