RAPID CITY, S.D. – Pierre won the team title, with Sturgis a close second as the Rapid City Invitational came to a close Saturday at the Monument.
Pierre finished on top with 196 points. Sturgis placed second with 178.5 and Watertown was third with 160.5 points. Thunder Basin and Tea Area founded out the top five.
Sturgis crowned two champions with Reese JAcobs at 182 and Aiden Werlinger at 195. Korbin Bunch won third place at 106, as did Tegan Zebroski at 120.
Other West River champions included Blair Blasius of Philip, winning the 152 pound crown, and his teammate Burk Blasius winning the 170 pound title.
On the girls side, Brooklyn Baird of Sturgis captured 2nd place at 120 and Madison Snyder finished in third at 126 pounds.
In the girls’ team standings, Pierre took first with 223 points and Bismarck was second with 161. Spearfish placed third with 139 points and RC Stevens was fourth with 98.
West River champions included Taylor Graveman (Fierbach) of Spearfish at 142 and Trinity Zopp of Lead-Deadwood at 154.
