PIERRE, S.D. / STURGIS, S.D. – The Pierre Governor boys and girls remain undefeated after sweeping the Sturgis Scooper boys and girls teams on Saturday in two different locations.
The Scooper girls traveled to Pierre and lost to the Lady Govs, 63-45, and the Pierre boys downed the Scoopers in West Gymnasium, 45-26.
Pierre (5-0) was led by Lincoln Kienholz, who dropped in 19 points, including two thundering dunks, and snagged 8 rebounds. Jake Vliem had eight points and nine rebounds for Sturgis (1-1).
No information was available for the girls game.
The Scooper boys and girls travel to Custer to take on the Wildcats on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Girls tipoff is scheduled for 6:30pm.
