PIERRE, S.D. – Foul play is not suspected in the death of a child being investigated by Pierre police.
Captain Bryan Walz says the investigation of the child’s death is continuing, but foul play is not suspected at this time.
An ambulance and police officers responded to the 200 block of South Tyler Avenue on April 19th after receiving a call for an unresponsive child.
The child was transported to Avera St. Mary’s hospital in Pierre where the child was pronounced dead.
Walz says should the investigation warrant, additional information will be released at a later time.
