Post 22 ends Veteran’s Classic with win and 5-1 record; Post 320 finishes 2-4

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Post 22 picked up a 12-9 win over Alliance, Nebraska Sunday to finish third in the annual Veteran’s Classic Baseball Tournament.

Post 22 scored runs in every inning except the sixth, and held on in the top of the seventh allowing just one run to cross and picking up the win.

Dylon Marsh went 2 for 2 and had 4 R.B.I. to lead the Hardhats, but also got the save, coming in to pitch the final one and a third innings to secure the victory.

Meanwhile, the Post 320 Stars put together a comeback, only to fall short to Bellevue Post 339 9-6 Sunday.

An RBI-single by Isaac Dike with the bases loaded was accompanied by three runs off errors before Bryan Roselles drew a base-loaded to send in the go-ahead run in the fourth inning.

However, Bellevue would answer with two runs each in the sixth and seventh innings.

Jace Wetzler had 3 hits to help lead the Stars, who gave up 11 hits and allowed several runners to score and advance due to throwing errors.
