STURGIS, S.D. – Both Rapid City Post 22 Expos and Post 320 Shooters had 4 hits in their Junior Legion Championship game Sunday — but it was Harrison Good’s hit that made all the difference.
With the score tied 0-0 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Good’s R.B.I. brought in the lone run of the game to give the Expos the win and the championship.
The winning run came after an outstanding pitching performance from both teams.
Jude Sears earned the win for the Expos, going all seven innings and striking out 9 batters.
Xander Dansby took the loss for the Shooters, despite 6 great innings of work and striking out five.
The Expos, with the win, claim the Sout Dakota “A” Junior Legion Championship. The game was held at Strong Field in Sturgis.
