RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Post 22 wrapped up the Veteran’s Classic with a 4-1 record and a win over Billings Post 406 Sunday.
The Hardhats had a grand slam courtesy of Zeke Farlee in the bottom of the fifth inning. His four-bagger turned a 2-0 led into a 7-0 advantage and the Hardhats never looked back, cruising to an 8-2 win.
Along with Farlee’s four-RBI, two-run performance, Harrison Good and Dylon Marsh collected two RBIs apiece, while Hayden Holec earned a double for the Hardhats.
Meanwhile, Rapid City Post 320 had hoped to squeeze in their final game of the tournament, but got rained out.
The Stars had a 6-1 lead over Laramie Post 14 Sunday at Pete Lien Memorial Field when the rain came, and the coaches of both teams agreed to declare a no-contest due to inclement weather.
