RAPID CITY, S.D. – Post 22 opened the season on Saturday evening by hosting Sheridan, Wyoming in a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game on Sunday.
The two teams split on Saturday with Sheridan winning the first game 6 to 5 and Post 22 taking the second game 10 to 0.
On Sunday, the Hardhats got a 6-4 win to take the three game series.
Meanwhile,
Rapid City Post 320 also played three games vs Outlaw Baseball Club from Miles City, MT at Pete Lien Field.
On Saturday, the Outlaw Baseball Club scored seven runs in the fifth inning and the team from Miles City defeated the Stars in the first game, 12-1.
Although Post 320 outhit the Outlaw Baseball Club 5-4 in the second game, the Stars lost 8-4.
On Sunday, the Stars avoided the sweep with a 5-3 win over the Outlaws.
