BROOKINGS, S.D. – Rapid City Post 22 stayed alive at the State Legion Baseball Tournament Wednesday with a 9-2 win over Yankton Post 12.
Alex Dietrich singled, scoring one run, Owen Wishon induced Aaron Roach to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, Tate Crosswait doubled, scoring one run, Philip Bentz singled, scoring two runs, Dawson Inhofer singled, scoring one run, and Jace Morgan singled, scoring one run.
Post 22 Hardhats 2024 18U piled up 13 hits in the game.
Bentz led Post 22 Hardhats 2024 18U with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day.
With the loss, Yankton is eliminated from the tournament.
