RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Post 22 took two from Harrisburg in a Friday doubleheader.
In game one, the Tigers scored two quick runs in the top of the first inning, and kept that lead until the fourth when the Hardhats scored 6 to take the lead.
Post 22 held Harrisburg scoreless the rest of the way, and took the 6-2 win.
Ryan Bachman helped lead Post 22 with 2 hits and Jed Jenson added 2 R.B.I.’s. Hunter Tilery got the pitching win, going all seven innings and striking out 7 batters.
In game two, the Hardhats scored a deciding run in the bottom of the ninth inning to escape with a 3-2 win.
Dylan Richey had two hits for the Hardhats. Pitcher Zach Whitesell worked six innings and struck out 10.
Harrisburg’s Chase Mason pitched a superb game, going 8 innings and striking out 16.
