Rapid City Central baseball opens season with doubleheader loss to Sioux Falls Washington

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Central Cobblers opened up the 2021 baseball season with a doubleheader versus Sioux Falls Washington.

In game one, the Warrior rolled to a 24-1 victory and in game two, Washington cruised to an 18-2 win.

Washington put the first game away by scoring 17 runs in the sixth inning.

Kayden Jones started for Central. He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on five hits and striking out four.

In game two, the Cobblers gave up 18 runs on 15 hits.

Rapid City Central plays at Sturgis at 1:00 p.m. Saturday and then faces Huron right after.
