STURGIS, S.D. – Rapid City Central claimed the Cheer Championship and the Grand Champion Dance Champion at the Sturgis Spirit Competition at West Gymnasium Thursday.
The Cobblers captured the Competitive Cheer Competition with 148.5 points. Belle Fourche was second with 124 and Sturgis was third with 122.5.
In the dance competition, Central captured Grand Champion with 161.25. Rapid City Stevens placed second with 150.75 and Douglas/St Thomas More was third with a 141.
Central won the Pom and Hip Hop competition and Stevens captured the Jazz.
Sturgis Dance placed fifth overall.
