Rapid City fire crews knock down small fire off of Thrush Drive

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City fire crews were called to a grass fire right before 4:45  Wednesday evening off of Thrush Drive.

BC1, Engine 4-1, and Truck 1 responded.

Officials say the fire was burning mostly in grass and thankfully the grass was green enough, so the blaze did not spread quickly.

The fire was about a quarter acre in size and remains under investigation, although is most likely human caused.
