RAPID CITY, S.D. — Rapid City Fire crews responded to a structure fire early Wednesday morning in the 3800 block of Chief Drive.
Fire officials say when first responders arrived just after 5:00 a.m., they found smoke and flames coming from the home and they immediately began attacking the fire.
The fire was contained to the structure of origin.
No injuries were reported, but two house pets did perish.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
