RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Fire came to the rescue of one man’s furever friend Friday.
At 9:30 Friday morning Engine 5 and Fire Rescue 3 were called to Braeburn Park for a dog that climbed up the side of a cliff and got stuck on a small ledge.
Rescue 3 set up a rope system above the ledge and rappelled down to the dog.
The crew continued lowering until they were in arms reach of the owner to hand the dog over safely.
