Rapid City Mayor pardons Gobbles the Turkey

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Black Hills had their very own turkey pardon Monday.

With Thanksgiving just days away, Rapid City Mayor Steve Allender wanted to make sure Gobbles was safe.

At a special ceremony at Main Street Square, Allender provided a pardon for Gobbles the Turkey.

Gobbles was on hand for today’s pardoning and found out he will be spending the rest of his days at the Holy F Ranch.

Today’s pardon was sponsored by the Homeslice Media Group.
