Rapid City Police arrest man for obstruction following weekend incident

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Police arrested a man over the weekend after he jumped out in front of a police vehicle.

Police were attempting to stop a speeding vehicle on Lindbergh when the man appeared suddenly when the officer was at the intersection of Lindbergh and Minuteman Drive.

The officer had to brake suddenly to avoid hitting the man who fled on foot. Police eventually apprehended the man and identified him as 30-year-old Brandon Wright of Rapid City. He, and a woman who was with him, were arrested.

Wright was arrested for obstructing police and violating his probation. The woman was arrested for an active warrant.
