RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City police say three people have been arrested after a pursuit involving guns took place today.
Police say around 9:20 this morning, they initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on the city’s north side. That vehicle did not stop and fled from police. Police pursued the vehicle to a dirt road on the north end of Deadwood Avenue. Three occupants of the SUV fled the vehicle into the hills north of I-90.
Two of the suspects were initially located, while the search continued for a third.
A large number of resources was brought in to help search for the third suspect, who was eventually found Wednesday afternoon and taken into custody. During the search for the individual, police labeled him as armed and dangerous.
Police say multiple firearms were discarded by the occpuants during the search.
The incident remained under investigation and no further information had been released yet.
