Rapid City Police investigating fatal Friday night shooting on East North Street

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Police in Rapid City say one person is dead and another injured after a shooting on East North Street Friday evening.

Police say they responded to 212 E. Blvd. North after a report of shots fired at the address. One person was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Another person was located inside the address deceased.

A suspect vehicle was identified and located in the area of Nowlin Street and Farlow Avenue. A traffic stop on the vehicle was conducted in the 1100 block of Farlow Avenue. Occupants of the vehicle fled into a nearby residence.

Police say after a short time, the occupants of the residence came out and the investigation will continue.
