Rapid City Police – one arrested following shooting

RAPID CITY, S.D.-Rapid City police say an early morning shooting has left one person with serious, life-threatening injuries.

Police say they responded to a report of a disturbance at a hotel at 1721 N. Lacrosse Street at approximately 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

Upon arrival, officers were informed that a gun was fired in one of the rooms of the hotel. When they entered the room, officers located a single gunshot victim.

Officers provided emergency first aid to the victim, who was then transported to the hospital by a medical unit.

Rapid City Police Department interviewed witnesses on the scene and placed 19-year-old Quincy Bear Robe under arrest for Aggravated Assault and Commission of a Felony with a Firearm.

Rapid City Police Department spokesperson Brendyn Medina says the investigation of the shooting is ongoing, so additional charges may be pending.

RCPD asks that anyone with any information about the incident call 605-394-4131. An anonymous tip can also be submitted by texting the letters ‘RCPD’ and the information to 847411.
