RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City police say they are investigating a false report of an active shooter at Rapid City High School Thursday morning.
Rapid City Police Chief Don Hedrick says they received the call at approximately 8:30 a.m.
Hedrick says they did a thorough search of the school, and finding no active shooter situation, determined it was a hoax that appears to be going around at other schools as well.
He says law enforcement is now investigating to see if there’s a connection between this case and others being reported.
