RAPID CITY, S.D. – Law enforcement say the body of a deceased male was found around 5 p.m. in Rapid Creek near S. Reservoir Road.
On Saturday, The Rapid City/Pennington County Water Rescue Team was called to the scene.
The male was identified as 52-year-old James Stethem of Rapid City who was recently listed as a missing person. The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office says that next of kin has been notified and that there were no obvious signs of trauma.
The Pennington County Sheriff’s Office says that an autopsy is planned for Monday, May 2 to determine the cause of death.
