RAPID CITY, S.D. – Authorities are investigating a car vs pedestrian incident that killed a woman last night.
Police responded to the 1100 block of Omaha Street around 5:00 p.m. for a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian. The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene.
According to the RCPD, the woman was attempting to cross the street in a non-crosswalk area — when she was hit by an east-bound vehicle that had the right of way.
Rapid City Police and the Rapid City Critical Accident Reconstruction Team are investigating the accident.
