Rapid City police say speeding factor in two vehicle accident that sends camaro into pole

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City police are investigating a two car accident that resulted in what appears to be minor injuries Monday.

Police say a Chevrolet Camaro was traveling northbound on Fifth Street when it side swiped a pickup truck. The collision forced the camaro off the road and straight into an electrical pole.

Two people were in the camaro and police say that one of them was taken to the hospital with what were described as non life-threatening injuries.

Police say speed appears to be a factor on the part of the camaro.

Black Hills Energy was brought in to work on the damaged electrical pole.
