RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Post 22 won two to win their super regional playoff against Post 320 Monday night.
The game was held at Pete Lien Field.
The Hardhats outlasted the Stars in the first game, 7-4. Dylan Richey was outstanding on the mound for Post 22. He worked all seven innings, allowing ten hits and four runs while striking out eight and walking zero.
Richey also went 3-for-4 at the plate and had 3 RBIs.
Meanwhile, the Stars were led by Peyton Ness who had two hits and an RBI.
Post 22 dominated Post 320 in the second game, 14-1. Bransen Kuehl led the Hardhats with two home runs and six RBIs.
Post 22 advances to the state tournament which will be held Aug. 7-9 at Pete Lien Field in Rapid City.
The Hardhats are the No. 1 seed and will play their first game on Friday, Aug. 7 at 7:30 p.m.
