RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Post 22 and Rapid City Post 320 met each other for the second time this year last night at Pete Lien Field.
The last time these two teams met, the Hardhats knocked off the Stars by a final score of 11-2.
Although the game was much closer this time around, Post 22 held on for 3-2 victory over the Stars.
Both teams were strong on the pitcher’s mound.
Jake Goble went all seven innings for Post 22, allowing two runs on five hits, striking out eight and walking one.
Meanwhile, Mitchell Sand also worked the entire game. He allowed five hits and three runs while striking out eight.
Hunter Tillery hit a home run in the third inning for Post 22.
Peyton Ness led the Stars with two hits in three at bats.
The Hardhats improve to 19-7 while the Stars fall to 11-14.
