RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Post 22, hoping to turn things around at their Firecracker Tournament, dropped the tournament opener Wednesday night.
It was two critical mistakes defensively that hurt the Hardhats as they lost to Creighton Prep 6-4.
The Hardhats committed two costly errors that led to four extra runs for Creighton Prep.
The Hardhats also had five extra base hits, but left three runners in scoring position in the fifth and sixth innings.
The loss was Post 22’s sixth straight and dropped them to 21-21 on the season.
