RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Post 22 picked up a split with Pierre in Legion Baseball Action Wednesday night.
In game one, Pierre edged the Hardhats 9-8 and in game two, Post 22 got a hard earned 2-1 victory.
In game one, Post 22 scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to come within one run of the Post 8, but Pierre would shut out the Hardhats in the seventh.
Luke Jegeris had 3 hits to help lead Post 22.
In game two, the Hardhats’ two runs scored in the third would be all they would need to pick up a 2-1 win.
Hunter Tillery picked up the pitching win as he pitched hitless and scoreless ball in the final five innings. Tillery finished with 9 strikeouts on the night.
Offensively, Ryker Henne had 2 hits to lead the Hardhats.
