RAPID CITY, S.D. – Both Rapid City Stevens Cheer and Dance teams captured top honors at their home invitational on Saturday.
The Raiders’ cheer team won their competition with 153.50 points and the Stevens’ dance team won first with 164 points.
Rapid City Central placed second in the overall cheer competition with 132.50 and Custer finished in third with 128 points. Sturgis placed sixth in the competition.
In dance, Rapid City Central was second with 161.25 points and Pierre placed third with 153.25. Sturgis finished in fifth place behind Douglas-St Thomas More in fourth.
Sturgis won the hip-hop category and Rapid City Stevens captured the Pom category.
Sturgis will host their competitive cheer and dance invitational on Monday night.
