Rapid City Stevens continues strong at Rapid City Invitational

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Invitational Tennis Tournament continued Friday in Rapid City.

Rapid City Stevens defeated Aberdeen Central 9-0 and improved to 14-2 on the season with the win.

In doubles action on Friday, Michael Tang and Thomas Postma from Stevens defeated Macon Larson and Tyler Loecker from Mitchell to capture the Flight 1 doubles title.

The team from Stevens won by scores of 7-5, 6-2.

In other quarterfinal action Friday, Sam Mortimer and Asa Hood of RC Stevens defeated Carson Versteeg and Thane Neiman  of Rapid City Central 6-0, 6-1.

Gabe Goetz and Zach Gonsor of Aberdeen Central defeated Noah Greni and Joe Schneller of Rapid City Christian 7-5, 6-4.

Michael Tang and Thomas Postma of Rapid City Stevens defeated Mason Carrels and Gray Imbery of Aberdeen Roncalli 6-3, 6-1.
