Rapid City Stevens sweeps Douglas Early Bird

BOX ELDER, S.D. – A B-1 Bomber helped usher in the 2021 Cross Country Meet Friday as the Douglas Early Bird was held.

 

Rapid City Stevens runners claimed both girls and boys races.

Winning the boys race was Simeon Birnbaum in a time of 16:47.66. Keenan Uridiales of Spearfish came in second and Alex Otten of Stevens placed third.

Three Sturgis Scoopers finished in 6th, 7th and 8th place respectively. They were Deron Graf in sixth, Ty Petrocco in seventh and Morgan Pappenfuss in eighth.

In the girls race, Stevens claimed the top three spots. Halley Uhre finished in first with a time of 19:23.52. Brionna Holso finished second and Gracie Uhre finished in third. Hill City’s Abby Cutler was fourth.

Lucy Hamer was the top placing Scooper in 13th place.
