WATERTOWN, S.D. – The South Dakota State Girls Basketball Tournaments continued Thursday night with games in Watertown, Huron and Sioux Falls.
At the Class A tournament, Rapid City Christian dropped their opening round game to second seeded Wagner 67 to 47. In the final game of the day at State A, sixth-seeded Sisseton upset third-seeded Sioux Falls Christian.
At the State AA Tournament in Sioux Falls, Pierre defeated Rapid City Stevens 42-34.
Isabell Higgins led Stevens with 13 points and 16 rebounds in the loss. Remington Price led Pierre with 15 points.
In the nightcap at the Class AA Tournament, Harrisburg cruised to a 53-41 win over Sioux Falls O’Gorman.
And, at the State B Tournament in Huron, second-seeded Ethan edged out Castlewood 55 to 53. In the nightcap, third-seeded Viborg-Hurley rolled to a 64 to 46 win over Howard.
