STURGIS, S.D. – Sturgis city officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday for the town’s newest sporting goods store.
Sports Adventure Fun is located at 920 Harley Davidson Way, across from Sturgis Rally Point.
The store has everything from outdoor activity items like camping gear, to youth sports equipment to sports apparel and more.
The store’s owners are Richelle Bruch and her brother Travis Bartels.
They say the idea for a sporting goods store has been ruminating for a year or more.
Bruch’s two sons play soccer year-around and she would have to either travel to Rapid City to buy soccer cleats or order them online.
Bartels says Sports Adventure Fun will carry both new and used sporting goods and if they don’t have something in stock, they can order it in within three to five days.
