STURGIS, S.D. – David Richards approached the Sturgis City Council last night to propose a park on property he sold to the city.
The property was initially targeted for a lakeside adventure park, which came in way over budget.
Richards provided estimates on his idea which, includes an acre lake.
Richards says there is money on hand and the city wouldn’t have to pay anything.
Richards says it’s an idea that he hopes can kickstart new conversations about what to do with the property.
