CUSTER, S.D. – Custer County Search and Rescue responded to an incident Tuesday in which a rider was thrown from a horse north of Custer.
Custer County Search and rescue stated that, “Falling or being thrown from a horse is a serious incident and again there was a reported head injury, so again Black Hills Life Flight was requested to respond.”
The individual was treated by paramedics and then flown to Rapid City where they are, “making a recovery.”
It is the second incident in four days involving a rider being thrown from a horse.
