RMAC announces delay to start of fall sports seasons

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Due to COVID-19, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced Monday that it is delaying the start of the fall sports seasons.

Both Black Hills State and the School of Mines participate in the RMAC.

The RMAC president’s council has decided practices for football and all other fall sports will begin on August 24th, with first games on September 18th.

It also decided on in-conference-only schedules for football, men’s and women’s soccer, and volleyball.

The RMAC says “Review of safety precautions and protocols will continue throughout the fall, as the RMAC and its members monitor any need for further adjustment.”
