RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Preseason Football Poll has been released and Black Hills State and South Dakota Mines are predicted to finish in the middle of the pack.
The Black Hills State University Yellow Jackets are predicted to finish fifth while the School of Mines Hardrockers are picked sixth.
The Black Hills State University football team finished with a 6-5 record last season and 5-4 in the RMAC which tied for fourth in the conference.
BHSU returns four starters on offense and 10 on defense.
The Yellow Jackets open the season at home on September 7 against Southwest Baptist.
The South Dakota Mines football team is predicted to finish 6th in the RMAC.
The Hardrockers tied for 6th in the conference last season after finishing 4-5 in the RMAC and 5-6 overall.
South Dakota Mines kicks off the new season on Thursday, August 29 against CSU Pueblo at O’Harra Stadium.
