Road closures expected at some Sturgis railroad crossings

STURGIS, S.D. – Starting on Saturday, Oct. 5, the Rapid City, Pierre & Eastern Railroad (RCPE) will be removing and replacing the railroad crossings at Dixon Drive, 3^rd Street and Park Street in Sturgis.

The work will continue through the weekend. They anticipate having all work concluded by Monday morning, however there will be some road closures due to this work.

This will mean the closure of the entrance and exit to the Sturgis Industrial Park. At the other locations, drivers will be able to detour around the closure.
