RoseAnn Schulz, age 62, of Philip, South Dakota, died on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital in Aberdeen.
Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:45 p.m. Friday, March 29, at the American Legion Hall in Philip.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at the American Legion Hall in Philip with Pastor Kathy Chesney officiating.
Interment will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Philip.
RoseAnn Marcia Stehlik was born on February 13, 1962, in Pierre, South Dakota, the youngest of nine children born to Franklin and Dorothy (Groby) Stehlik. She grew up and received her education in Ft. Pierre, graduating from Stanley County High School in 1981.
After graduation, she cleaned motel rooms at the Holiday House in Pierre, and at this time met Larry Schulz. They were united in marriage on November 27, 1983, in Ft. Pierre, South Dakota, and to this union were born two children Lydia and Kevin. They made their home on Larry’s parents’ ranch north of Philip.
In 1997, after the death of Larry’s father, the family moved to into Philip, and RoseAnn began work at Philip Health Services, a position she continued to hold until her death.
RoseAnn enjoyed playing Hay Day on her phone, crocheting, sewing, and playing with her dogs, Samuel and Lucky.
Survivors include her husband, Larry; two children Lydia Schulz of Philip, and Kevin Schulz and his wife Shandra of Fargo, North Dakota; two grandchildren Asher and Freya; two brothers Gene and Richard Stehlik; her mother-in-law Enid Schulz of Philip; and a host of other relatives and friends.
RoseAnn was preceded in death by four brothers James, Joel, Raymond, and Tommy Stehlik; and two sisters JoyAnn and Pamela; and her father-in-law Lyle Schulz.
