RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Black Hills Conference Cross Country Championships were held at Hart Ranch in Rapid City on Thursday.
Winning the boys race was Luke Rupert of Hill City, finishing in a time of 15:34.64. Peyton Cast of Douglas placed second in the race and Lane Krautschun of Belle Fourche was third.
Top placing Scooper was Ty Petrocco in fifth place and his teammate Quinn Bruch finishing in sixth.
Hill City captured the boys team title with Sturgis second and Custer third.
Winning the girls race was Peyton VanDeest of Spearfish, finishing in a time of 18:27.30. Abby Cutler of Hill City was second and Kori Keil of Spearfish placed third. The top placing Scooper Keelin Dinkins in tenth.
Winning the team title was Spearfish with Hill City coming in second and Sturgis placing third.
