SPEARFISH, S.D. – Kyle Phin collected four hits in five at bats, as the Spearfish Sasquatch defeated the Casper Spuds 13-9 on Wednesday in Spearfish.
Phin hit a solo home run to left field in the sixth inning, doubled in the first inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as Spearfish collected 15 hits and Casper had eight in the high-scoring affair.
Elijah Bobo earned the win for Spearfish. The reliever surrendered two hits and three runs over three innings, striking out four and walking three.
The two teams will meet up for game three of their series tonight.
